Description

U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM-Warren) is planning to procure a quantity estimated at 496 High Mobility Engineer Excavator (HMEE) Type III Loaders (Backhoe Loader) on a five (5) year requirements contract with five (5) one yea r options. The first five (5) years will be Firm Fixed Price and the additional five (5) option years will be Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA). The HMEE Type III will be an existing commercially available (marketed) backhoe loader with s ome minor military modifications. The HMEE Type III should be capable of completing construction and loading tasks. These include but are not limited to stockpiling material, excavating undisturbed and compacted soil and loading consolidated earth and lo ose or decomposed rock, sand, aggregate and loose soil from stockpiles into dump trucks. In addition, the HMEE Type III should be capable of precision excavation of trenches in support of utilities and to create survivability position and concealment.
