- Description
- Question #1 Is the subject solicitation considered a development effort, or does the USMC anticipate this product to be an already designed and qualified UPS. Answer #1 - The USMC anticipates this to be an already developed product. It is a variable power supply, not an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Question #2 - If it's development, what would the development cycle be? Answer #2 Due to being a commercial item, there should be no development cycle. Question #3 - Is there a photograph of an existing unit? Answer #3 - A photo of the existing power supply can be found at www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/pmeps under Advanced Power sources. Question #4 - Is the form, fit, function left up to the manufacturer as long as we stay within the provided footprint in the Solicitation? Answer #4 - Form, fit and function are left up to manufacturer. Question #5 - Do you expect this solicitation to require any product development/testing or do you expect to procure this "off-the-shelf"? Answer #5 The USMC expects to procure the item as off-the shelf. Question #6 - If there is product development, when would the first pre-production unit be due? Answer #6 Based on question and answer above, this is not applicable. Question #7 - When would the production units be due and what is the delivery schedule after an order is placed? Answer #7 - Delivery timeframe is subject to vendor response. Question #8 - Does the contractor have to conduct a First Article Test with government witnesses? Answer #8 - No. Question #9 - Is there a copy of the subject solicitation, M67854-05-R-5081 posted on the NECO website? Answer #9 No. Question #10 - Does the synopsis posted on FEDBIZZOPPS website contain all the info needed to submit an offer? Answer #10 Yes. Question #11 Will the Government require electronic invoicing via the Department of Defense (DoD) Wide-Area Workflow process? Answer #11. Yes.
