Description
The Department of Justice is developing an acquisition strategy for its requirement for moving services of offices located within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. As part of this process, we are seeking information about small businesses that are capable of providing the services. Please note that this is a market survey for informational purposes only and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). There is no solicitation document available; no contract will be awarded based on this announcement; no reimbursement will be made for costs associated with responding to this announcement; and no telephone calls about this announcement will be accepted or acknowledged. All responses must be submitted via e-mail in accordance with the instructions that follow. The work covers routine office moving services on an ?on call? basis and requires laborers that are experienced in the handling of standard office machines, word-processing equipment and furniture. The required services include padding, packing and/or crating for transportation; disassembly of the property where necessary; pickup and loading of the property at its present location; transporting to destination; delivering property to the designated room and/or rooms and positioning at the new location; reassembling; removing all packing and crating materials; and/or any other duties normally included in a complete moving service. Personnel must clear a background investigation consisting of a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) and fingerprints. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 484210 with a size standard of $21.5M Responses to this announcement must provide detailed, concise information about the company?s qualifications and experience in providing the required moving services, within the past three (3) years, in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. All responses shall include a list of up to five (5) Government projects. Project information shall include the contract number, dollar value, period of performance, current status, and current point of contact information including name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address. Of particular interest is a company?s record of providing workers eligible to obtain a security clearance, and for this reason, the response must indicate for each project the highest clearance level required. In addition, the response must state small business size status (small, 8(a), small disadvantaged, HUBZone, service disabled, veteran owned, etc.) and not exceed ten (10) pages. All responses must be submitted electronically to connie.h.simmons@usdoj.gov and be received no later than May 3, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
