Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) to acquire electrical equipment for the completion of prime power grid at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. Request for quote (RFQ) number W912BU-05-T-0074 has been assigned. The NAICS code is 423610, with a size standard of 500 employees. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.603, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular, 2001-20. The following is required: Double throw safety switch (Square D only, catalog number 92345R), 400 A, 600 VAC, 50/60 Hz, NEMA 3R, Quantity 10 each. Delivery required 30 days ARO to: SGT Lawrence Newton (Prime Power) Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan Delivery is required FOB Destination to Kandahar, Afganistan within 30 calendar days after receipt of order. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items applies. The evaluation factors are price and delivery. Delivery is more important than price. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representative and Certifications-Commerical Items, must be completed and returned with the offer or electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. The provisions at 52.212-1, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 apply. Standard com mercial warranties are acceptable for all items. The above provisions are available for download at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. All responsible sources may submit a quote for consideration. The Government will not pay for information received. Bonding is not required. All contractors are required to be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300. Also, contractors who receive a federal contract of $25,000 or more are required by legislation to submit an annual VETS-100 Report on your employment of targeted veterans.
