Description
Proposed contract N62467-05-R-9157, REPAIRS TO BRIDGE 300 AND 896, MCRD, PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. listed herein is being considered for 100% 8(a), HUBZone or SDVOSB Set-Aside. All interested 8(a) HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns will notify this office via email of their intention to submit a proposal on the proposed contract as Prime no later than 29 April 2005. NOTE: 8(a),HUBZone,SDVOSB firms: This notification/submittal MUST include (1) the name, address, and small business size status of the firm; (2) past performance references; (3) evidence of experience in the Marine Construction of similar size and complexity, qualifications including State DOT certifications, (construction costs between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000); The project information shall include, at a minimum, the following information: (i) the contract name or number, completion date of the project, and the total cost of the project; (ii) the names and telephone numbers of the facility or installation for whom the work was performed; (iii) the name and telephone number of a supervisory level point of contact at each facility or installation who has knowledge of the performance of the entity or entities. If adequate interest is not received from 8(a), HUB-Zone or SDVOSB concerns, then the requirement will be issued unrestricted. Also, if adequate interest is received from 8(a) HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns, it is the Contracting Officer's determination on how this will be set-aside IAW SBA Procedures. The work at Bridge 300 includes removing and replacing drainage system (concrete) located at the southwest corner of the bridge and repair of asphalt roadway pavement; installation of SCDOT approved guardrails on both ends of the bridge and along existing bridge rails; rehabilitating bridge expansion joints; repairing spalled areas of concrete and incidental related work. The work at Bridge 896 includes repairing corroded HP piles (steel); removing and replacing angle iron bracing; raising pile jackets to new elevation with concrete encasement; repairing pile jackets at the mudline (concrete); repairing spalled and delaminated concrete areas on concrete members; cleaning and recoating all steel members and steel pipes; removing and replacing access pier (removal of timber, replacement with steel) and guard shack; extending existing concrete mats on abutment slopes to waterline; providing temporary guard shack with all utility connections; relocating pier lights and providing new navigational lights; power and telephone connections; and incidental related work.safety rails and approaches and other incidental work. NAICS is 237310: Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and Size Standard is $28.5M.
