Description

This is a pre-solicitation synopsis. The Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Aging Aircraft System Program Office (ASC/AASS) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to Edgewater Computer Systems Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed contract will include development, system specifications support, and design of MIL-STD-1553. The government intends to award the effort pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 since Edgewater is the only contractor that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience and technical data required to support the system. The proposed contract action, FA8626-05-C-2073 P00003, has a period of performance of 14 months. Interested offerors must submit, within 15 days from the publication date of this notice, their capability package describing the company's technical expertise and experience, personnel and facilities, and motivation for participating in this program.
