Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Sheldon-Hart Mountain National Wildlife Refuge Complex has a requirement for veterinary services for the feral horse and burro capture program on the Sheldon NWR in NW Nevada. The Service intends to award a Multi-year Blanket Purchase Agreement to one or more Vets providing this service. The contractor shall provide veterinary services and necessary equipment for required Coggins health certificates and necessary emergency health care for up to 600 feral horses and feral burros, per year, captured on the Sheldon NWR. TASKS: Include, but are not limited to: Collection of blood from animals, delivery of blood to a laboratory, and issuance of state required Coggins health certificates; spaying and gelding of animals; euthanasia of severely injured and diseased animals; treatment for injuries, such as lacerations, and other conditions, as required, on an infrequent basis. This work will be performed with assistance from the Refuge staff. Calls will be issued to the contractor in advance of, as well as specifying, and authorizing, all required work. Interested contractors must be registered in the CCR and must show interest by submitting a price list for services on a per-animal charge.
