Description

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the renovations and restoraion of the historic Dominick House on Bulls Island Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, Awendaw, SC. Work included under this invitation consists of supplying all materials, tools, supplies, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to renovate and restore the Dominick House. Bulls Island is accessible only by boat. The successful contractor will have to provide barge service to transport all materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to the island and boat transportation for all workers on the project between the mainland and the island. A pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled for 05/19/05 at 9:00 AM at the refuge. RSVP to email address: natasha_rowland-howie@fws.gov or FAX Number 404-679-4057. Attendance is strongly encouraged. This is not a small business set-aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 236220. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 05/09/05, with a 30 day closing. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued, with a performance period of 270 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is on/about 06/30/05. The IFB documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under IFB Number 401815B001. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV in order to be eligible for award.
