Description
Notice of availability of a Request for Bid on 1 March 2005 in which the National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a resource partner/tenant to lease the Elisha Jones House located within the Minute Man National Historical Park at 242 Monument Street, Concord, Massachusetts for residential occupancy. The Elisha Jones House is an early 18th century colonial structure, rebuilt/altered ca.1865. The property includes house, driveway and yard. The term of the lease is at least one year, with a maximum term of up to three years. Occupancy to begin upon receipt of a responsive bid. Selection process will continue on a weekly schedule until a responsive bid has been received. Every Friday, beginning April 22, 2005, a public bid opening will occur as described in section F of the RFP. Tenant is responsible for payment of the real estate broker's fee, utilities, insurance, lawn mowing and snow removal (see lease). The lessee will be required to pay fair market value rent to the NPS, which is approximately $45,000 to $51,000 annually. The Request for Bid, including the draft lease, explains the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the lease. The solicitation, selection and award of the lease will be conducted pursuant to 36 CFR Part 18. All interested persons or their real estate brokers must contact Mrs. Sue Revis, real estate broker, Barrett and Company, Inc., 33 Walden Street, Concord, MA 01742; telephone (978) 369-6453 to view the offered property and obtain a copy of the solicitation. Sealed bids are due to the following address: Superintendent, Minute Man National Historical Park, Bid on Lease of NPS Elisha Jones House, 174 Liberty Street, Concord, MA 01742, no later than 11:00 a.m. every Friday beginning April 22, 2005 until a responsible bid is submitted. A public bid opening will be held at the same address each Friday, beginning April 22, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. until a responsible bid is submitted.
