Description
NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Commercial item/services: One (1) Earth Ground Station consisting of the following item details: (1) Dual-band 2.4 Meter (maximum) reflector diameter operating at frequencies of: 7800 ? 8500 MHz with a minimum measured G/T of 24dB/K to 25dB/K respectively with down converted IF frequency of 720 MHz (2) 1690 ? 1710 MHz with a minimum G/T of 9dB/K with down converted IF center frequency of 140 MHz (3) Dual X and L Band feeds must be in-line (4) Positioner shall not require position initialization prior to operation (5) Pedestal minimum tracking accuracy of .1 degrees (6) System is to be sealed pressurized with positive dry-air (7) System is to include GPS for time and position (8) Pedestal and reflector assembly is to operate under 50Mph winds maximum (9) All RF cabling must be internal (NOTE) It is encouraged that the future replication cost of the Earth Ground System be provided as part of the proposal. This future replication cost will be a factor in the selection process This system will support the NPOESS Preparatory Project (NPP) mission during pre-launch testing and early orbit activity. This antenna system is to be representative of leading edge technologies for NPP direct readout objectives and the future into National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS). The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334220 and 750, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNG04109000 is on or about April 21, 2005, with an anticipated quotation due date of on or about May 13, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
