- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey intends to make a sole source award to Jillian K. Buckholz, BEI, 400 West First Street, Chico, CA to provide analyses (taxonomic identification) of benthic macroinvertebrates. The samples will be analyzed at the vendor's facility within holding times required by analytical methods. The samples will be processed according to CSBP Level II taxonomic protocols (500 organism fixed counts identified to CSBP Level II Taxonomic Effort). The Contractor has the unique qualification in that they have performed these services previously, and consistency between the previous project, and the current project is essential to this requirement. The period of performance is 06/01/2005 through 09/30/2006. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to respond within ten days of this announcement. All responses must be in writing by facsimile to the Contracting Officer at (916) 278-9339 or email vfriesner@usgs.gov. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
