Description
The National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) is considering conducting a Study to test the effect of exposure to an innovative program of camp and clinic-based behavioral interventions, on dietary glycemic index and glycemic control in early and middle adolescents with type 1 and 2 diabetes. The purpose of this study is to test an innovative program of camp-based and individualized clinic-based family interventions designed to promote consumption of lower glycemic carbohydrates from whole foods and to determine the efficacy of such a dietary change in promoting improved glycemic control among children and adolescents with type 1 and 2 diabetes. NICHD anticipates making one award for a 5 year, incrementally funded completion-type contract for this procurement. RFP No. NICHD 2005 -02 will be available electronically on or about April 15, 2005. You can access the RFP through the FedBizOpps (URL: http://www.fedbizopps.gov) or through the NICHD website (URL: http://www.nichd.nih.gov/funding/funding-opps_rfp.htm). Responses to the RFP will be due on or about May 30, 2005. NICHD will consider proposals submitted by any responsible offeror. This advertisement does not commit the government to award a contract. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (22-APR-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
