- Description
- The Southern Plains Area for the Agricultural Research Service, of the U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to issue an award to FLIR Systems, Inc., 16 Esquire Rd., N. Billerica, MA 01862. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations (RFQ) for competition. This is a simplified acquisition. The Conservation and Production Research Laboratory, Bushland, Texas requires 1 SC200 Thermal Imager and Research Software to be used in experiments that are part of our BARD/TIE TDA grant with colleagues in Israel at the Volcani Institute, and for cooperative work with ARS scientist at the U.S. Water Conservation Laboratory in Phoenix, AZ. Both the Israel and USWCL researchers have standardized on the SC2000 radiometric imager and Researchers software so that images can be easily exchanged in a standard format and with reproducible temperature values, a scientific requirement for this research.
