Description
The following are answers to questions received on the solicitation: Question: Does it have to be HIPAA and FDA compliant? If yes, please specify applicable CFRs and laws. Answer: Not required. Question: Are there other military regulations to follow? If yes, please specify applicable CFRs and laws. Answer: No. Question: Is the USUHS looking for a clinical platform with customizable processes and modules? Answer: USUHS is looking for a “commercial off-the-shelf” product capable of meeting the objectives stated in the description. Question: What does standardized patient scheduling mean? Is it allocating a pre-defined patient case from a list to a specific student or a group of students? Answer: The scheduling of a Standardized patient (a patient actor) to support a student training event. Question: Do the students actually register and enroll patients? Answer: The staff at the center register and enroll the (standardized) patients for a given training event. Question: Does the patient scheduling need to be changed in real time, to mimic a medical center's live scheduling procedure? Answer: No. Question: About how many people would be utilizing the system? Answer: Over 1,000. Question: Do you want a web-based product? Answer: Web-based only! Question: Do you prefer if the system is hosted or non-hosted? Answer: Non-hosted. Question: What is the decision timeframe? Answer: Award will be made as soon as practicable, not to exceed sixty days after receipt of proposals. Delivery is to be made within 30 days of award. Question: We only sell our products with support. Overall, please let me know how we can handle the regular payment of the support fee? Answer: If a company sells a product which has separate costs associated with the basic item it should stipulate the cost within the literature submitted and enter the aggregate of all costs in the spaces provided. Question: I don't know what's a "CAGE CODE" is, so I guess I do not have that. Is that a requirement? Answer: The CAGE Code can be obtained by registering in the Central Contractor Registration database - http://www.ccr.gov. Question: I just applied for a D&B DUNS number, once I get it, I'll apply for a CCR registration. However, it might take 10 days before they respond to my registration request. In that case, if this is necessary for the bidding, I'll be too late. How can we deal with this? Answer: In the spaces provided indicate you have applied for a DUNS Number and state it will be provided as soon as received. You should be in receipt of the DUNS Number in tiime for award, should your product be deemed to present the best value. Question: "Offeror is required to sign this document and return 1 copy to the issuing office." So, where should I send the signed document? Can I fax it? To what number, attn: to who? Answer: Offers may be faxed to 301-295-1716, or e-mailed to hfloyd@usuhs.mil. If either of the preceding methods are used an original copy must be mailed to the Directorate of Contracting, 4301 Jones Bridge Rd Rm A1040C, Bethesda MD 20814-4799 and postmarked by the closing date of the solicitation. No further questions will be entertained after 22 April, 2005. The response date remains 28 April, 2005.
