- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service intends to award one or more Indefinite Quantity Architect/Engineer contracts for design, document preparation and contract administration of individual projects at USPS owned and/or leased facilities throughout the Western Tennessee area. Project types include site adaptation of USPS CADD based standard plans for new facilities, expansions to existing facilities, and repair and alteration projects. The contract for architect-engineer services will be for two years with a guaranteed minimum amount of $5,000. The contract may be renewed for three one-year periods. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $250,000. The total contract amount cannot exceed $5,000,000. The primary user of this contract will be the Southeast Facilities Service Office located in Memphis, TN but the office in Lawrenceville, GA will also use this contract. This contract is to cover the Western Tennessee area; however, it may be used occasionally within other areas of the southeastern United States. Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described herein are invited to submit two (2) copies of completed SF 330 ?Architect-Engineer Qualifications? for itself and for each of its proposed consultants to the office shown above not later than May 30, 2005. The selection will be conducted with the use of the submitted SF 330. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on its SF 330 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Firms must have a minimum of two registered architects, have a minimum of two years Autocadd experience, and must be able to provide the services of at least one of each of the following disciplines (each registered in Tennessee): mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineering. Any of the engineering disciplines may be provided through outside consultant firms. Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement in accordance with foregoing requirements in the following order of preference: (1) within the Western Tennessee area and (2) within State of Tennessee. There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants. Firms must provide proof of or demonstrate the ability to obtain errors and omissions insurance, minimum of $200,000 per claim, with submittals (two copies). It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon, or resulting from, award of this contract. No other general notification of this project will be made. Submittals will not be retained or returned. This is not a request for proposals. ONLY OFFERS SUBMITTED BY U S POSTAL SERVICE OR HAND DELIVERED WILL BE CONSIDERED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SOLICITATION. SUBMITTALS RECEIVED BY ANY OTHER FORM OF DELIVERY WILL BE REJECTED.
