Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice posted IAW FAR 5.203(a). This will be a firm-fixed price contract for the following item: (1) one Ground Handling Lift Trailer, NSN: 1730-01-075-0478, Part #: F311155. Qty: 1 for the Basic Year with 4 option years (quantities of 1-2). This solicitation will be posted on or about 12 May 05. The Ground Handling Lift Trailer is used to install and remove the T-1150/ALT-28 radio transmitter or the TR-1219/ALQ-155V radio receiver on the B-52 aircraft. This action contains a First Article Requirement for contractors who are not approved sources who should submit a proposal under Bid A. Approved vendors may submit a proposal under Bid B. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. This activity will acquire the Ground Handling Lift Trailer using Full and Open Competition after Exclusion of Sources as a 100% set-side for Small Business under FAR 6.203. This solicitation will contain Export Control Data which will require verification through the Joint Certification Office for access to information. Additional information on this program can be found at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
