- MARKET RESEARCH This is a request for information only. Do not submit a proposal or quote. The Government does not intend to pay for any information submitted or for any cost associated with providing this information. PURPOSE OF CONTACT: The Coast Guard is conducting market research in order to identify vendors who can provide Inspection and overhaul services for Conserve Control Units, manufactured by MAN BW, NSN 5310-99-776-6898, P/N: LISTGS17-100A and 84-0A-178-P03. The Conserve Control Units are used on the main propulsion engine control systems on 110 Foot WPB Class Cutters. The conserve control unit is used on Paxman Velenta diesel propulsion engines. The conserve control unit is an electro mechanical device used to prevent over accelerating the main diesel engine beyond its maximum RPM limit. Contractors may submit any and all information, literature, and documentation that they feel may be beneficial. Interested parties are invited to review and answer the attached questionnaire.
