Description

17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a Notice Of Intent (NOI). Submit offers on NOI5056. The notice of intent (NOI) and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-01. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The associated North American Industrial Code 421490 size 100. The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to negotiate a sole source acquisition using simplified acquisition techniques to procure ten Maxi-Miser Caging Systems (without cages) constructed from stainless steel. These racks will connect to pre-existing Thoren Expanded Small Mouse Cages [140 ea] and therefore must be compatible. The caging systems must come equipped with HEPA filter/blower modules. The rack dimensions should be exactly 28?w x 74? 1 x 95?h. The dimensions must be matched exact due to space restrictions and operational functionality. In addition, we would like to procure 1,750 #5 Ultem filter covers with Reemay, 1,750 Udel 9 oz ink bottles with stainless steel caps and welded 1? sipper tubes and 1,400 stainless steel 3 x 5 vertical cardholders. The contractor is to provide all components necessary to be installed to industry standards and in a workmanship ?like manner. The completed system is to be warranted for at least 1 year from date of completion. The Government intends to make a best overall value buy to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the Government. By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation.
