Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated clauses/provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 and DFARS Change Notice 20030430 Edition. The solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. DFAR 252.204-7004. NAIC Code: 51140. This is a sole source requirement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Services required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is soliciting for a non-personal services contract for an individual to teach two courses in the Graduate School of Engineering and Management: COMM 680, Technical Reports and Theses Summer Quarter: 27 June 05 - 10 Sep 05 (2 Section) Each Section: 3 hours of lecture per week (10 weeks of class and a final) COMM 310, Fundamentals of Written Communication. Summer Short Term, 31 May 05 - 24 June 05 (2 Sections) Each Section: 4 hours of lecture per week and 2 hours of lab per week(4 weeks of class). Fall Short Term: 4 hours of lecture per week and 3 hours of lab per week (4 weeks of class).
