Description: The required BT-70581 rechargeable battery and BTA-70581-1 charge adapter are used in support of the Combat Survivor Evader Locater (CSEL) system being used in support of Operations Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF). The CSEL consists of an AN /PRQ-7 Hand-Held Radio Set, planning computer, and radio set adapter. The Army and Air Force are fielding the rechargeable battery and charge adapter as the primary power source for the CSEL. The Army has been the lead activity for the procurement of the r echargeable batteries and charge adapters during the first few years of the program.
