Description

The National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quote for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to install a new water line at De Soto National Memorial, Bradenton, Florida. The contractor shall provide all tools, materials, equipment, transportation, labor and supervision to install approximately 1400 feet of new 2 inch PVC pipe. Work consists of directional boring and connection and tying into an existing 2.75 inch water service. Existing pipe will not be removed. This RFQ will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http: //ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures as outlined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13. The anticipated range of this project is expected to be between $25,000 and $100,000 with a period of performance of fifteen (15) calendar days for all onsite work following the Notice to Proceed. Should any contract result from this solicitation the contractor shall be required to provide a Payment Bond (SF-25A) equal to 100% of the award amount. The contractor shall also be required to provide a valid Certificate of Insurance. In accordance with FAR Part 19.10 this solicitation is being issued as unrestricted available for full and open competition with no small business set aside. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $28.5 million. Proposed issue date is May 17, 2005.
