Description

Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, facilities, transportation and supervision to complete design-build services necessary for the design and construction of Building 329 kitchen facility and the swing spaces as described in the solicitation. The objective of this project is to design-build the renovation of the Menlo Park Dietetic Facility, Bldg 329 and the temporary swing spaces in Bldg 324, Menlo Park and Bldg 64, Livermore. Building 329 is a single-story brick building, approximately 13 feet high and 25,000 SF. This design-build renovation includes: (1) seismic upgrade of the structure; (2) Dietetic food services equipment / functionality modernization; (3) and Facility Infrastructure improvements (HVAC, electrical, and interior upgrades). This project also includes the creation of temporary swing space in Building 324 at Menlo Park and Building 64 at Livermore to enable temporary Dietetic operations while Bldg 329 is vacated for renovation and upgrade. This project also includes responsibility for the relocation of Dietetic operations (equipment and activation) from Bldg 329 to its temporary operating location to Buildings 324 and 64 and back as the project progresses. In order to reduce design and construction period for the project, the completion of the design-build for Bldg 324/64 swing space and deactivation of Bldg 329 shall be coordinated with the design completion and start of construction of Bldg 329. The proposed contract is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offers from other than HUBZone small business concerns will not be considered.
