This requirement is for the repair of the 1st Stage Turbine Vane and 1st Stage Turbine Vane (Borescope). The government contemplates awarding a firm fix price requirement type contract for a three (3) year basic contract period with two (2) year option periods. MATERIAL: Fabricated of PWA Nickel Base Alloy. SIZE/DIM: Vane/5x4x2 inches; Borescope/5 1/2x4x2 inches. FORM, FIT AND FUNCTION: Directs airflow to 1st stage blades. Items will be delivered to FB2039, Tinker AFB. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 23 May 05. Anticipated award date will be 23 Sep 05. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Chromalloy Gas Turbine Corporation (Cage Code 2B971). No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. The reliability of this part is dependent upon establishing and maintaining effective process control; Quality cannot be inspected into this part. This item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to assure that prospective offerors are capable of establishing and maintaining effective process control. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
