Description

This Full and Open Competitive Solicitation is for a Basic Contract quantity of 2,510 each Slide, Rear Sight, spare part for the M9 Pistol; and will include a 100 % option. NOUN: Slide, Rear Sight; NSN: 1005-01-287-2603; P/N: 9346487. Slide, Rear S ight is machined from forged steel, Alloy 8640, resulphurized (S=0.04-0.06), grain size 5, heat treat for above steel, zinc phosphate class 2, matte and acrylic lacquer finish. Each part shall be subjected to the firing of one M905 high pressure test cart ridge in a Government approved, contractor designed test firing fixture. After proof testing, each part will be magnetic particle inspected using circular, longitudinal magnetization and wet method. Estimated issue date is 08 December 2004. The solicitat ion will incorporate a Technical Data Package (TDP) for these items, which will be viewed with the solicitation via the internet. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be pro vided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will a ny amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to ob tain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
