Description
The U. S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement to provide commercial Electronic Chart System (ECS) software to include licenses, documentation and technical support. The ECS software shall be capable of processing, displaying, and controlling an Automated Identification System (AIS) transponder, be capable of producing Western Rivers Short-Range Aids to Navigation (SRA) information, and be capable of displaying Search and Rescue (SAR) routes. The ECS software shall meet specification requirements that will be included in the solicitation. The government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Delivery type contract with a base period and two one-year option periods. The maximum quantity for the base period is 50 units and the maximum quantity for each option period will be 125 units. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541511. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small businesses (see Numbered Note 1). It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 9 May 2005, with proposals due forty-five (45) days after issuance of the RFP. This requirement will be satisfied using commercial acquisition procedures specified in FAR Part 12. To obtain the solicitation, interested businesses may download the RFP at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
