Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to AGS Scientific, 809 University Drive, College Station, TX. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1. The purchase order is for procuring a Mercury Analyzer with the following salient characteristics: 1. Must be set up for SOLID samples, not liquids or digested samples. 2. Must have 4 3/8" x 5/8" x 1/2" sample boat size in auto sampler to hold samples. 3. 0.002 ng mercury method detection limit: 4. 0.005 - 1000 ng mercury dynamic range: allows efficient high concentration mercury determination without loss of throughput due to having to serially dilute samples. 5. Dual beam AA Detector: 6. Capability to run on air, no necessity for oxygen.7. Must have on board halogen removal for amalgamator life. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the instrument are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement.
