- Description
- The US Army CECOM intends to issue a sole source contract to TELEGRID Technologies, Inc., 335 Eisenhower Pkwy, Livingston, 07039 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Resposible Source, for a five-year Firm Fixed Price/Time and Materials Indefinite Deliv ery Indefinite Quantity contract, for approximately 150 various components of the Voice Orderwire Control Device (VOCD) and associated depot support services. The FFP portion of the contract will be used to acquire VOCD hardware for fielding and spares, a nd the T&M portion of the contract will be used for depot support services. The Government has previouslt procured approximately 775 various components of VOCD from TELEGRID, and it is imperative that the VOCD components procured in this effort are identi cal to the previously fielded VOCD components to ensure interoperability. The Government does not possess the rights to the design documentation necessary to prodcue the VOCD. All responsible sources may submit a bid or porposal, which shall be considere d by the agency. The VOCD facilitates voice orderwire communications between the TD-1337 Multiplexer Integration and Digital Communications Satellite Subsystems Automation System (MIDAS) operators and the remote site operators. The VOCD is a modular syst em whose component count varies depending on site requirements. The VOCD, comprised of Chassis', Power Supplies, PCBs, Remote Indicators and Remote Alarms, provides a visual indication to the MIDAS operator specifying which one of the twelve channels is c onnected to the MIDAS and whether it is a secure or non-secure channel.
