Description

This is an unrestricted procurement. The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing the Red Chute Bayou Diversion Structure in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of work include mobilization a nd demobilization, clearing and grubbing, erosion control, low water crossings, dewatering, drainage structure with two slide gates and electric hoists, electrical work, excavation, cofferdam, random fill and backfill, clay fill and backfill, select sand m aterial, filter media, stone protection, filter stone, bedding stone, engineering fabric, corrugated metal pipe, levee surfacing, providing as-build drawings, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and manageme nt of the contract (See Section 01312 QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM), storm water pollution protection and environmental protection. The value of the proposed work is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available on the Vicks burg Consolidated Contracting Office WEB PAGE at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil./contract/. Compact disc and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones. Issue date on or about May 24, 2005. Bid opening date on or about June 28, 2005. Rights-of-Way to proceed with construction are not available; therefore, bids will not be opened and contract award will not be made until all necessary rights-of-way are available.
