Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to issue a competitive Small Business Set-Aside, Firm Fixed Price contract for 1 each Deadload Body, P/N 400470-1. The Deadload Body is in accordance with the Naval Air Warfare Center?s drawing package 400470-1 and Request for Engineering Information (REI) #REI-05-18005. The Deadload Body is a welded frame consisting of steel 1-Beam and fabricated steel pieces, approximately 20 feet long, 10 feet wide and 2 feet high, weighing 13,000 lbs (dry weight). The Deadload Body will be used in testing Aircraft Launching and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Assembly which is able to accept weights increasing gross weight to 30,000 pounds and is subjected to acceleration and arresting forces up to 13 G?s. Due to the critical use of these materials, a pre-award and post-award survey is recommended to evaluate perspective contractor?s production and quality control capabilities and overall technical acceptability. Inspection and acceptance shall be at source. Higher-level quality assurance standard per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR 52.246-11 applies. Packing and preservation is in accordance with MIL-STD-794, Level B. Configuration Control is in accordance with MIL-STD-973. Certificate of Quality Compliance applies. The contractor shall perform Quality Conformance and Lot Sampling Inspections. Delivery shall be for the 360 days after contract award. The place of delivery is Lakehurst, New Jersey. Award to contractor shall be made using the method of ?best value? to the Government. The methods or factors shall be Technical, Past Performance and Price. Your company is required to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. You can access the Internet web site at https://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil or www.ccr.gov It is mandatory to register with the CCR, as your DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System + 4 number) number and your company?s CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) code will be required to conduct business with the Department of Defense. Your company is required to register with the United States/Canada Joint Certificate Office for Export Control before you receive a copy of the solicitation. You can access the internet web site http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp for DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement form. You may also, contract the DLIS Registration Center at 1-800-352-3572. The Government drawings/specifications will be sent as part of the request for solicitation package.
