- The Marine Corps Logistics Command, Albany GA intends to solicit proposals for the fabrication, delivery to Gov't freight forwarder, and installation in country (Bahrain) of one 77m Radome, Dielectic to house and provide environmental protection for an AN/TPS-59(V)3 Radar. (Item 0001: Radome, Dielectric. Fabrication of Radome Quantity: 1 Each. Delivery information not specified.). The statement of work specifies dielectric radome: (a) to be installed in south central Bahrain; (b) capable of surviving wind gusts up to 150 m.p.h.; (c) Lightning Protection System; (d) Aircraft Warning Lights; (e) Zenith Hatch, 24-inch by 24-inch opening with hinged cover and ladder support; (f) Maintenance Rope, with pulley and anchor points; (g) Personnel Access Hatch, 2-foot by 4-foot opening with hinged door; (h) Large Equipment Door (10ft W x 12ft H); (i) Must be vented and capble of supporting a cooling system (Cooling System to be provided by Government of Bahrain). In addition ! the contractor will be required to provide: Site Preprepartion Requirements Documents (must include specification for the concrete pad, as well as identify any site requirements); Site Installation (must identify any purchaser furnished equipment required to support site installation efforts); Analysis of GoB provided Environmental Control Unit (ECU) BTU requirements (GoB will supply ambient temperature requirements and other variables needed to make the calculations) - completed analysis, with documentation identifying all ECU requirements for this radome; Packaged for overseas surface shipment (deliver to freight forwarder 60 days prior to actual delivery date in order to arrive in country), as required fabrication and installation must be completed by 01Sep2006. Radome must be capable of accommodating the movement of three 20ft x 8ft x 8ft standard trailers in, and out, as necessary. The Government intends to award a single contract on a Firm Fixed Price basis using FA! R Part 15. Award will be based on Best Value. Evaluation Factors are Technical Capability, Past Performance, and Cost. This effort is 100% set-aside for small business. F.O.B. Destination: Glen Burnie, MD 21061.
