Description
NAICS Code: 541990 The United States Environmental Protection Agency, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13, is soliciting competitive offers for an undergraduate student who has completed at least two (2) years in an engineering or chemistry degree program, who is at least 18 years of age, who is a student (in good standing, enrolled in a post-graduate degree program, not necessarily carrying a full course load, but pursuing a degree at a recognized educational institution) to provide services under a contractual agreement in support of the NRMRL Pervaporation Team. The Fiscal Year 2003 Consolidated Appropriations Resolution authorized ORD to acquire personal services through temporary or intermittent recent graduate/student services. NRMRL Pervaporation Team requires the services of a undergraduate who has completed two (2) years in an engineering or chemistry degree program to provide provide the NRMRL Pervaporation Team with laboratory research support, documentation, library searches, data support, and other directed support. The student contractor shall have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate study in an engineering or chemistry degree program, with studies in both physics and chemistry, and have the equivalent of five (5) quarterly credit hours in laboratory coursework at the time of selection. In addition, the student shall be capable of creating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel Applicants must agree to a background check, FBI fingerprint check, and suitability determination by the EPA. The student shall sign and date the Student Acknowledgment of Special Terms before work under the contract commences. The student will be required to register with Dunn & Bradstreet and register with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). This work is expected to begin approximately June 20, 2005, for period approximating twelve months, as follows: From June 20 through September 16, 2005, for approximately 40 hours per week; thereafter, for approximately 10 to 20 hours a week, or as the student and the project officer may agree, through June 20, 2006. The student may schedule work hours Monday through Friday between 6:30 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. so long as a project member is present. The hourly rate of pay is commensurate with the level of education and experience, as follows: $13.19/hr for students who have completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate study.
