Description: The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Biosciences Research Laboratory, Fargo, North Dakota, intends to enter into a sole source contract with Applied Biosystems, Foster City, California, for the purchase of two upgrade kits (3100 to 3130xl), data collection software and sequence/fragment analysis installation kits for two Government-owned Applied Biosystem Sequencers. Applied Biosystems holds the exclusive rights as the sole manufacturer and distributor in North America, for research use only of the 3130 to 3130xl upgrade kits. *Provide Qualification Statement by Close of Business May 16, 2005, if interested in this procurement.
