Description
The Inyo National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Tower Fuels Reduction and Wildlife Improvement Stewardship Project. The Tower Fuel Reduction and Wildlife Improvement Stewardship Project is located within T2 S., R.28 E., Sections 31 and 32, M.D.B.&M. Sealed ? ?Best Value? offers will be received at the Mono Lake Ranger District Office at 9:00 AM local time on July 6, 2005, for an estimated 749 hundred cubic feet (CCF) of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 206 acres and 1 stewardship project. The stewardship projects is: piling of fuels 1 to 10 inches in diameter for the purposes of burning and/or creation of wildlife habitat structures. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled ?Instructions to Offerors.? Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government?s requirements, and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the ?best value? to the Government. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all offers. A prospectus is available to the public and interested offerors from the offices listed below. Information concerning the timber and stewardship projects specific to this project, and submission of offers is available to the public from the District Ranger, Mono Lake Ranger District, Box 429 Highway 120, Lee Vining, CA 93541 or contact Tom Higley at (760) 647-3032.
