Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to provide lookout services for the Clear Lake and Flag Point Lookouts, to detect and report smokes or fires, to monitor and forward messages, take, record, and report weather conditions within and adjacent to the Mt. Hood National Forest. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, except those designated as Government-furnished, and incidentals to perform all work specified herein. The Clear Lake Lookout is located approximately 18 miles of Pine Grove, Oregon, at T5S,R9E, Sect. 6. The first 17 miles are paved and the last 2 miles are not paved. Refer to Vicinity map, Section J. Flag Point Lookout is approximately 18 miles west of Dufur, Oregon at T2S,R11E, Sec. 7. The first 17 miles are 44 rd., 5 miles on the 4420, and the remaining 3 miles are on an unimproved, unpaved road through a wilderness corridor. The lookout must be on duty in the tower during specified hours shown in the contract. At present time the lookout does have sufficient living quarters. The Contractor will be allowed to stay on site of the lookout. This contract will be for the Base plus up to 4 Option Years. Registration in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) is required. Lois Tate is the Contracting Officer for this contract. This solicitation will be available via FedBizOpps on or about May 16, 2005.
