Enhanced high performance triple quadruple mass spec system with a mass range of miz 5 to 1250; Part No. WC014179, Line Transformer; Part No. 1011328, LCMS Instrument Table; Part No. 1004153, Metabolite ID add-on for analyst 1.3/1.4; Part No. 1009109, Analyst 1.4 Software 2-year upgrade agreement; Part No. 1012793, Gas Generator, Peak NM20Z; Part No. WC027522, Valco Valve 10-port, 2-position; Part No. WC024735, Standard Modem Cable; Part No. WC009632, Dual Syringe Pump Assembly; Part No. WC024740, Cable Assy, Valco Valve; Part No. N020-0514, API on-site Support; and part No. WC024736, NT-based peripheral Cable. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award, on a sole source basis, a firm fixed-price purchase order to Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404, to purchase one each, LC/MS/MS System Package (Model API 5000) or equivalent to. The authority for this acquisition is FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirement. Anticipated award date is May 13, 2005. This is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation is available. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 calendar days from the date of this synopsis. When submitting quotation, please include freight as a separate unit price. (i)This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and request for quotations is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. (ii)This is a Commercial Solicitation and the quotation must reference Solicitation No. BV00105. (iii)This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-03. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. (iv) Only faxed or emailed quotations will be accepted. (v) Submissions must include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), point of contact (including name, telephone number, and email address), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. In addition, the following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation?Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement States or Executive Orders?Commercial Items, FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronics Funds Transfer, Central Contractor Registration; FAR 52.247-34, F.O.B. Destination. (vi) All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractors Registration to be eligible for award. NOTE: For payment purposes, offerors must be registered in the Central Contract Registry prior to receiving any award. (vii) A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (viii) All quotations are due within 10 calendar days from the date of this synopsis by 2 p.m., local time, or May 12, 2005, whichever is later.
