Description
Procurement Advertisement Adams and Associates, Inc., contracting for the U.S. Department of Labor, for the operation of the Woodstock Job Corps Center, a 505 student residential training facility located at 10900 Old Court Road, Woodstock, Maryland, is currently soliciting written bids to supply and install a new 60 ton chiller with similar characteristics to the existing McQuay Model #AGZ060AS27ER10, Serial #STNU010300101. Please see attached scope of work. SCOPE OF WORK ROOFTOP CHILLER BUILDING #3 The intent of this scope of work is to supply and install a new 60 ton chiller with similar characteristics to the existing McQuay Model #AGZ060AS27ER10, Serial #STNU010300101 A. Demolition/Removal 1. The contractor shall evacuate, remove and dispose of the existing chiller and its damaged appurtenances. 2. The contractor shall verify location and extent of demolition required to accomplish the work. 3. Construction debris must be removed from the site and construction area must be secured to the centers satisfaction at the end of each workday. B. Installation 1. The new chiller shall be mounted on the existing steel, which shall be modified as required to accept the mounting of the new chiller. 2. The unit shall be provided with external vibration control as recommended by the manufacturer. 3. The contractor shall reconnect the unit to the system controls, the chilled water lines, and the electrical feeders. The electrical work shall include the installation of a new fused disconnect as well as surge protection and single phase protection devices in the unit electrical compartment. 4. The existing rooftop lighting protection system shall be inspected for compliance with UL Master Label requirements, and lighting protection arrestors shall be installed on the chiller and the steel framing with appropriate cable connections to the roof lighting protection system to ensure continuity of the system with the UL standards. 5. All electrical work shall be installed in accordance with the NEC and NETA requirements. C. Rules 1. The contractor shall at all times abide by the centers rules and regulations. 2. The contractor must meet Davis Bacon Act Wage Requirements. D. Warranty 1. All materials, services and labor shall be warranted free for a period of one year. 2. The chiller compressors shall a five year warranty. Written bids should be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Department by COB May 6, 2005.
