Description
1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation FA5000-05-T-0018 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-27) This is a Small Business Set Aside. The NAICS code is 238990, Size standard: 12M. 5) ITEM DESCRIPTIONS: Top soil, containing organics by volume at 60%, sand 20%, silt 20% and have a ph factor of 5.5-6.5. Soil must pass through a 8MM screen and be free of sticks, rocks and any other debris. Samples from prospective vendors shall be mad available to the Horizontal Repair Shop for verification of the specifications. The bid schedule and statement of work can be obtained by contacting MSgt Keller at 907-552-4791 or e-mail at thomas.keller@elmendorf.af.mil 6) Delivery: FOB ELMENDORF AFB, ALASKA, requested delivery must begin on 1 June 05 accumulating at least 1000 cubic yards no later than 11 June 05, thereafter maintaining no less than 1000 cubic yard stockpile until the total quantity has been delivered. All topsoil shall be delivered no later than 9 Jul 05. Total quantity 3,227 cubic yards. Topsoil will be delivered to the Cherry Hill snow dump area located at the west end of Runway 6 between 0730 and 1530 hours Monday through Friday. 7) FAR 52.212-1 ? Instructions to Offerors?Commercial, applies to this acquisition. 8) FAR 52.212-2 ? Evaluation ? Commercial Items. Award will be made based on the low price/technically acceptable offer. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 9) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
