Description
NASA/GSFC has a requirement for: ONE (1) AutoDesorb System ONE (1) AutoDesorb Intall Kit ONE (1) AutoDesorb Cryo-Trap System ONE (1) Valve Kit for the Cryo-Trap (including valve and tubing) ONE (1) Accessory Kit (Includes Desorption tubes, needles, and seals) ONE (1) 24 Tube Conditioning Oven ONE (1) AutoDesorb Installation NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT SERVICES, INC., Ringoes, NJ. SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT SERVICES, INC is the only vendor who meets all of our requirements. The Authority is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures, and the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, but quotes timely received by the response date will be considered. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS via email at Yolanda.A.Williams@nasa.gov, fax at 301-286-9159, or postal mail at NASA/GSFC, Mail Code 210.3, Greenbelt, MD 20771, not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 17, 2005. All submissions must include solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, and warranty duration (if applicable). Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS via fax or email (email is preferred), not later than May 11, 2005. Telephone questions will not be accepted. Oral communications are not] acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
