- USAF ACADEMY CONTRACTOR LOGISTICS SUPPORT (CLS) (Revision to Sources Sough Synopsis issued Jul 29, 2004) The requirement is for logistics support for the U.S. Air Force (AF) Academy (USAFA) fleet of 50 aircraft (12 TG-10 B Sailplane (L-23 Super Blanick), 5 TG-10C Sailplane (Blanik L-13AC), 4 TG-10D Sailplane (Blanik L-33 Solo), 14 TG-14A Motorglider (AMT-200S Super Ximango), 3 TG-15A (Schemmp-Hirth Discus 2b), 2 TG-15B (Schemmp-Hirth Duo Discus), 3 C-150 (Cessna), 4 T-41D (Cessna 172), and 3 UV-18B (deHaviland -6)). Aircraft are stationed at the USAF Academy and Peterson AFB, located in Colorado Springs, CO and are generally used for flight training of AF cadets. The period of performance anticipated includes a 60 day phase-in 30 Jan 06-31 Mar 06, base year 1 Apr 06-30 Sep 06 and five 1-year (FY) options ending 30 Sep 2012. This is a follow-on effort to contract F05611-00-D-M003. The requirement includes all maintenance, inspections and installation of modifications, including parts and labor IAW Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, various technical orders and the USAF requirements for the Academy Fleet. Contractor is required to furnished tow aircraft and pilots in support of the non-motorized gliders TG-10B/C/Ds (Blanik). The requirement also includes day-to-day maintenance and services to support the USAF Academy fleet, including unscheduled maintenance, inspections, parts, materials, engine overhaul/repair/inspections, Air Directives, Service Bulletins, Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) agreements, engineering services, technical data and subscriptions. The government will furnish petroleum, oils and lubricants (POL), some support equipment and facilities at both locations. An industry day is preliminarily planned for the week of 28 Mar 05, additional details will be provided as they become finalized.
