Description

The Bureau of Land Management Taos Field Office, through the BLM New Mexico State Office, has an upcoming requirement for the aerial application of pelleted herbicides in the county of Rio Arriba, state of New Mexico, as part of the Esperanza Allotment Vegetation Treatment Project. The total number of acres for treatment is 1,120. Target species is sagebrush. Herbicide specifications are as follows: active ingredient, tebuthiuron 20 percent; inert ingredients 80 percent; 0.2 pounds active ingredient per pound of product; EPA Registration No. 62719-121. Period of performance is approximately 3 to 5 days. Contract performance shall commence immediately after award. Award is expected to be made by May 13, 2005. Evaluation criteria for award consideration, listed in descending order of importance, will include price; technical capability to meet the government need including ability to meet the delivery requirement; and past performance in similar or same type of requirement. Request for Quotation No. GDQ051044 using procedures prescribed by FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be issued immediately after transmission of this announcement, as this requirement has been sufficiently advertised in a previous, cancelled announcement. This is a total small business set-aside. NAICS is 115112 with a small business size standard of $6M. PSC is F001. Prospective offerors must be registered, or must maintain an active registration, in the Central Contractor Registration database found at www.ccr.gov.
