- The Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL has a requirement for the care of remains of deceased personnel (mortuary/funeral home services). Services to include preparation of remains, cremations, transportation and materials such as covers, pouches, caskets, urns, etc. Caskets and shipping containers shall be in accordance with NAVMEDCOMINST 5360.1 Armed Services Specifications, Care of Remains of Deceased Personnel Appendix J. The contract area of performance for these services will cover deceased personnel within Duval County FL and northeast Clay County FL. Period of performance begins 01 Oct 2005 through 30 Sep 2006, with four one-year option periods. The solicitation will be made available to the public via posting on FedBizOpps. Only written or electronic responses to the solicitation will be accepted. The deadline for receipt of responses will be identified on the actual solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the a! gency. This procurement is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. The Contracting Officer will request wage determinations if asked to do so in writing by 25 May 2005. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.5 Commercial Item Test Program.
