This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Request for Quote number is HHM402-05-Q-0146 and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses, identified in this announcement, are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 423430 and small business size standard is 100. Vendors having brochures and other documents identifying and supporting their products offered must submit them via FedBizOps or email: ida.batson@dia.mil to Ida Batson. All vendors are put on notice that Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 15.208 is applicable. The products must be delivered, FOB Destination to TYCON6, 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 600, Vienna, VA 22182 not later than thirty (30) days from date of the award of the contract. The following FAR provisions/clauses apply to this RFQ, and offerors are REQUIRED TO COMPLETE these clauses where applicable and submit with the quote: 52-212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial Items (Oct 2000); 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Item (Jan 1999) (Note: Important --- The following information factors will be evaluated in descending order of relative importance and is applicable to FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Yellow (Marginal): Response by the Quoter demonstrates a marginal understanding of the requirements of the RFQ and weaknesses are somewhat significant. Red (Unacceptable): Response by the Quoter demonstrates an unacceptable understanding of the requirements of the RFQ and weaknesses are significant.
