- The United States Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to solicit and negotiate with only Ohio Emergency Management, 2855 West Dublin Granville Road, Columbia, OH 43235-2206 on a sole source basis for the maintenance of National Weather Service (NWS) VHF equipment located on Ohio Emergency Management owned towers and buildings in the state of Ohio. Period of performance will be on or about 01 June 2005 through 30 September 2005, with two one-year option periods. The FSC for this is J058 and the NAICS is 517910 and the small business size standard is $12.5 million. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required services. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (FedBizOpps) site at www.fedbizopps.gov. No paper copies will be issued. No telephone, facsimile or written requests will be accepted. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. To be eligible for award, offerors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR): www.ccr.gov and obtain a DUNs Number by calling 1-800-333-0505.
