- Description
- This is a Request for Information (RFI). The information received will be used in assessing the availability of carriers to perform long and short range international Charter Combi airlift service for the Department of Defense (DOD). In order to be considered for award, the offeror must be a Federal Aviation Regulation 121 certificated air carrier and be a member of the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) or become a member of the CRAF prior to award. The minimum specifications for this acquisition require the air carrier to have aircraft that can carry a minimum of 30 passengers, 10 463L pallets (108" inches L x 88 inches W x 45 inches - 75 inches H), and be certified to carry hazardous cargo classes 1 through 9. The Government plans to solicit for this as a commercial service under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, on a "Best Value" basis, trading off service capabilities and past performance against price. This acquisition will be for a period of one year with performance projected to begin 01 Oct 05 and continue through 30 Sep 06.
