Description
Marine Corps Systems Command, Infantry Weapons Systems Product Group, Program Manager Optics and Non-Lethal Weapons, invites any and all potential vendors to two pre-solicitation conferences for a handheld thermal binocular/binocular capability. The first conference will be held on May 13, 2005 from 1030 to 1300 at Marine Corps Base Quantico, 2200 Lester St., Quantico VA 22134, room B49. The second conference will be held at Liversedge Hall, Quantico Marine Corps Base, on May 24, 2005 from 1000 to 1300. The purpose of the conference is to provide information to industry, and to solicit feedback from industry for an anticipated procurement of a handheld thermal binocular/binocular capability. Each company will be limited to 4 attendees. Foreign visitors must expedite requests through their embassy for visit requests to the USMC. Failure to attend one or both of these conferences will in no way preclude any vendor from submitting proposals to any future Request For Propo! sals. Any Vendor may attend one or both or neither conference. Conference briefings, questions, and answers will be posted to a publicly accessible website in conjunction with the anticipated RFP. This invitation and the pre-solicitation conferences are in conjunction with an anticipated procurement but in no way obligates the Government to release an official Request for Proposals and in no way obligates the Government to procure any product. You are requested to respond by May 11, 2005, with your intent, company name, attendance date(s), and number and names of personnel attending. Questions and responses may be directed to Mr. Vincent Ellis, (703) 432-3580 or preferably by email vincent.ellis@usmc.mil.
