- 1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 2. Defense Contracting Command-Washington (DCC-W), in support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, The Office of Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics ( AT & L) is issuing this Request for Quotes (RFQ) to support the requirement summarized bel ow. This RFQ will be UNRESTRICTED. Contract type is firm-fixed price with travel as a cost reimbursable. The period of performance will be for a base period of 12 months with two one-year options periods. Expected performance to begin 20 Jun 2005 3. The objective of this project is for the continuation of the study to develop and deploy an Internet-capable Automated Housing Referral Network (AHRN), in conjunction with contractor support with the Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) system. This will i nclude completing Phases III-V of the study. In the next three phases, the contract shall fully test, deploy, and maintain the automated housing referral network at the remaining, participating MHAs. Runzheimer International was intially awarded two one-ye ar contracts to study and develop the AHRN for implementation in five (5) phases. Runzheimer has completed Phases I and II. Phase I was the initial research of existing automated housing referral systems at military installations and private sector rental companies. Phase II was the development and deployment of an Internet capable referral network at nine (9) Military Housing Areas (MHAs) test sites, which composed of 15 military installations.
