Description

POINT OF CONTACT FOR SPECIFIC QUESTIONS RELATING TO THIS PROJECT IS MR. LOUIE BRACKETT, AT FAX 251/694-3626. THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED AS A COMPETITIVE HUBZONE SETASIDE NATIONWIDE. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), PERFORMANCE PRICE TR ADE OFF (PPTO)SOLICITATION. In general, the work shall consist of the following: Construct a 1,150 SM (12,374 SF) single story facility with admin, shop, and high bay areas to include site work. Building will have a structural steel frame system with spl it face/concrete masonry unit exterior. A medium bronze standing seam metal roof system is required. Interior finishes, HVAC, new utilities, and site paving are required. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236220. Estimated Cost Range of the project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or around 1 June 2005. Mr. Edward M. Slana is Contracting Officer for this project. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Contractor Site Visit has been scheduled for 0900 hrs, on 15 JUNE 2005 at the Base CE conference room. The purpose of the conference is to familiarize the bidders with the scope of work, address bidders questions concerni ng the project, participate in a site visit to become familiar with the existing site conditions, and familiarize the bidders with the Best Value process. Attendance at the conference is strongly recommended. Due to Base Security requirements and limited field staff available for construction contractor site visits, this scheduled site visit will be the only one offered. Individual requests for site visits will not be granted. Contractors will be required to register with Ms. Nancy Henry, by 1200 hrs, o n 10 JUNE 2005 and provide their given name (no nicknames), the project name, name of the company that they represent, and a state drivers license number. Contractors must provide a list with the names of the persons to be attending the site visit on Com pany Letterhead and FAX it to Ms. Nancy Henry at the numbers shown below.
