- Description
- The National Data Buoy Center (NDBC), Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, intends to negotiate only with the Neptune Sciences Division of Planned Systems International of Slidell, LA (PSI) for the design of an Advanced Modular Payload System (AMPS), a low-power, stand alone, flexible measurement system payload. The AMPS is intended to be a data logger that will acquire, process, and relay directional wave spectral data, meteorological data, and data from a variety of new environmental sensor suites. After acceptance of the design, the contractor shall fabricate and deliver eight (8) each AMPS with the technical data package. This task must build on previous work accomplished by PSI for NDBC and the United States Navy for engineering designs for modular, very low power payload systems. See Numbered Note 22.
