Description

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to award on a sole source basis, under the Simplified Acquisitions Procedures, a firm fixed price award to First DataBank, 8425 Woodfield Crossing Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46250 to purchase a license to the National Drug Data File (NDDF). The First Data Bank (FDB) is the only source of the NDDF. CMS uses NDDF exclusively for research and analysis projects related to Medicare and Medicaid programs. The specific data, in the specific format supplied by FDB has been used by CMS for a number of years. FDB?s products include a complete line of drug databases, including clinical decision support and disease suite modules, applicators programs interfaces, and stand alone PC products. For more than 30 years, their databases have been incorporated into thousands of vender and independent backbone systems. The FDB databases includes descriptive drug information, drug pricing, and drug identification. FDB?s unsurpassed clinical information and drug data, combined with Medi-Span?s drug databases is the most complete source of current and authoritative drug information available. All responsible sources may submit capability statements in consideration to the Agency at the above address.
