Description
NOUN: Static Tube Probe; NSN: 6685-01-214-7238NZ; PN: 4073980; QTY: 398 or 597; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: Beginning June 2005 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100 PW ENGINES; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: Probe is tubular design, approximately 18 inches in length and 1 1/4 inches in diameter; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium ; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: Probe is used on F100-PW-220/229 engines. It's purpose is to provide inlet static pressure to the Digital Engine Electronic Control (DEEC). Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: 01 June 2005; Anticipated Award Date: 31 July 2005. No telephone solicitation requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings will not be provided with the solicitation. Due to approval requirements, if a potential source wishes to have a formal solicitation, one will be supplied. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Rosemount Aero (59885). Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
